The Senator SV was the first limited edition Senator HSV had released since 2008 — just 50 cars for Australia, built in February 2015 and available in four colours only. This is one of them. And it is a manual.
The Senator SV was available with a manual transmission, but almost nobody ordered one. Among just 50 Australian cars, the number of manual examples believed to exist can be counted on one hand.
The SV itself was built on top of an already fully loaded Senator Signature — 340kW LS3 V8, Magnetic Ride Control, AP Racing four-piston brakes, Onyx leather HSV Performance seats and EDI. What the SV added was the visual distinction — SV Rapier forged wheels in Dark Stainless, pitch black exterior accents throughout, shadow-chrome quad exhaust tips, unique SV sill plates, individually numbered ID plate and exclusive EDI startup screen.
Since leaving the factory this car has been treated to a comprehensive Stage 3 engine build — VCM camshaft, LS7 lifters, dual valve springs, pushrods, timing chain, oil pump, 4-into-1 headers, 100 cell cats and a 3-inch cat back exhaust system, finished with a custom ECU tune. The result is a documented 80kW increase in power at the wheels on top of the factory 340kW output. Receipts available on request.
