This 2010 Ford Focus RS LV is one of just 315 examples officially delivered to Australia — the only generation of Focus RS ever fitted with the 2.5-litre five-cylinder turbo engine.
This engine, developed from the Volvo-sourced five-cylinder architecture with a ground-up rebuild specific to the RS, produces 224kW and 440Nm through the six-speed manual — a genuine 35 per cent power increase over the standard XR5 Turbo it's based on. Power goes down through a Quaife limited-slip differential, with a high-performance braking system and 19-inch alloy wheels — the largest wheel and tyre combination ever fitted to a production Focus at the time.
Every Australian-delivered RS came in exactly this specification — partial leather Recaro sports seats, dual-zone climate control, a six-disc audio system with USB/iPod integration, Bluetooth with voice control and keyless entry and start. There were no factory options available in Australia; every one of the 315 cars left the factory built exactly the same way.
This car also carries the RS's aggressive factory bodykit — the deep front bumper with larger intakes, side skirts, rear diffuser, bonnet vents and roof-mounted rear spoiler that set the RS apart from the standard Focus straight away.
